BWS competition brief for London Met University

If you have been following the internship page on our site you will have noticed that we recently set a brief for London Met University students. The brief, which was set in two parts (and can be accessed on the internship page of our Labs site) was a 48 hour project to design, model and visualise a proposal for ‘Sony cafe’, a contemporary outdoor seating space, indoor cafe environment and climbing wall area.
New Samsung Galaxy S3 (My version)
At the moment everybody is talking about the new Samsung Galaxy S3. My short animation shows how I imagine the phone is going to look like. Its a first time I have found Vray RT quite useful. I mainly used it to find a perfect reflections.
New ipad display native resolution
We have been comparing standard resolutions with the New iPad format. As you see from the attached visual, the new screen resolution is substantially higher then the previous iPad. We will be rendering animations in the new format for our clients in coming months as these devices become more commonplace. We went to the Apple store on Regent Street at the weekend to look at the new screens. The hardware looks fantastic. We also set as many as we could to the BWS web address; childish but fun.
Deeper Underground
The main purpose of this video was to create car advertisement with comic book look and feel. Everything was rendered in 3Ds Max and Vray. The smoke was done in After Effects by animating the noise map. There were also particles added with a help of great plugin called Trapcode Particular.
iPhone 4s Animation
In this video we tried to focus on a design detail of iPhone 4s. Depth of Field effect helped to recreate more realistic look. Rendered in 3Ds Max and Vray. Lens Flare added in After Effects.

I was only away for the weekend
Magazine Sniffing

I decided to make a labs project sharing latest observations in the world of editorial and the book-sniffing shenanigans which ensued on the latest studio field trip to Monocle – a hidden gem with all of the hottest stuff going on in terms of print finishes and typography.
